To get started in your career exploration process, we encourage you to use the tools offered in our office and online to help you decide what career direction is most appropriate for you. Whether you wish to remain in academics following your degree, or explore other options, we can help you with the job searching including writing your resume and interviewing, among other useful services.
Free LinkedIn Upgrade: Graduates, in order to get your LinkedIn accounts upgraded, you need to go to LinkedIn's Graduate Guide at http://grads.linkedin.com/gradstudents/ and on the left "Get Started in 3 Steps" menu, click on #3 "Come Recommended." Then click on the third bullet that appears under it called "Free Premium Account." Then read the instructions and make sure you have completed your LinkedIn profile to at least 80% and that you have listed your graduation year/date (within the last 3 years) under your graduate school section before finally clicking on "Check your profile completeness." All you have to do then is sign in to your account via that link and LinkedIn will automatically upgrade your account for 3 months with no strings attached within a few business days.
